Jim Sachs ▪︎ Time Crystal Demo, 1985. Sachs originally had plans to make this a complete game, but unfortunately, it was never finished. You can land the time machine, but the demo ends after that. Download csdb.dk/release/?id=24… #C64 #Commodore
@CommodoreBlog Hahahaha, I remember we tried every possible way to progress further in the game. We didn't know it wasn't finished at that time.
@CommodoreBlog Time Crystal Demo! I searched after that for decades. I remember something with a time machine and it looked awesome that time but i didn't understand the "game". I idn't remember the name so i later never found out what it was. Thank you so much! 🥹
@CommodoreBlog though interestingly there was a game of the same name released five years later, totally unrelated afaik
@CommodoreBlog Damn, look at those graphics, that's a work of art.
@CommodoreBlog Those graphics are very impressive for then.
@CommodoreBlog Pretty! Incredible detail.
@CommodoreBlog Sad. We have Time Machine instead which may catch some vibe of this.
@CommodoreBlog Was ace gfx for the C64! I'm a little surprised Jim Sachs didn't take the idea further onto the Amiga after Defender of the Crown,but guess that's always the whatifs teases of demo's!
@CommodoreBlog Never saw this and it is so f'ing cool. We need a refresh. Calling all #pixelartists~!
@CommodoreBlog I remember my friend loading that up on his Uncles C128, I was so impressed.

@CommodoreBlog I just loved it. Brilliant!
@CommodoreBlog This one was simply minding blowing back in the day. Another incredible demo was the 'running man'
@CommodoreBlog That's a very clever build! DIY tech is so rewarding.
@CommodoreBlog OMG! I remember this. I always hoped it would become a game. Thanks for sharing! This is awesome.
@CommodoreBlog For whatever reason, this popped into my head recently and I couldn't remember the name. Thank you!
@CommodoreBlog I remember, played that demo a bunch of times back in the day.
