Adopters: I just watched a commercial that proposes “symbolically adopting” an elephant, by sending $$. The elephant doesn’t need to come to your home! So, why not send your money to help a child in need? By “symbolically adopting,” taking ownership of a baby isn’t necessary!

Was just reading how the original script for the Truman Show (1998) was darker than the film. I always felt like the horror movie in that film was not that he’s told that his world is fake. But, suddenly being told that you have no secrets.
"adopting saves an existing life that would otherwise be in peril" is received gospel, like how "water is H2O" can just be in a publication, no citation needed. And yet, evidence clearly indicates that most adopted persons' lives were never at risk before being adopted. 1/

@Convos_adoption It's doubled since 2013. I use the stats in a court case. The judge is a fascist we got nowhere. The figured were provided by the industry itself. They were very proud of their numbers. #Adoption = #HumanTrafficking

Why do we have to say multiple times a day that every adopted child has trauma. Adoption itself is trauma. There is trauma that comes from being adopted. I don't know how many other ways to say it. #adoptionistrauma
