We're almost finished!!! These beautiful textile works made @TheMill_TKAT will be installed in Crawley Library and Crawley Museum on Wednesday next week; you will be able to visit them from Thursday 3rd February. Both exhibitions are FREE!
After weeks of creating super small fabric characters for our upcoming textile installation, we went giant today! @TheMill_TKAT
More fabric characters created today @TheMill_TKAT Reflecting on who supported us during the pandemic, two Year 3 children drew each other as during lockdown they regularly spoke to each other by phone because 'they are best friends' and it helped to 'keep happy'.
Happy New Year! We kick started 2022 @TheMill_TKAT by making fabric figures for our hanging installation Stay At Home, due to be installed at Crawley Museum 31st January. After all this hard work it feels great that the reveal date is finally in sight!

Carrying on with our #StayAtHome installation today @TheMill_TKAT , creating these adorable little stitched houses that will form part of our display at Crawley Museum in the new year. The houses have been hand drawn and then sewn over using free machine embroidery 🏠🏡🏘

Year 5 @TheMill_TKAT carried on with our experiments in perspective drawing this week - our display is under way with some beautiful mixed media work alongside prints. We’re thinking of a special name for our cityscape!
Today @TheMill_TKAT Year 3 worked on mixed media street scenes, learning how to create buildings using perspective in their drawings. Looking forward to making a fabulous display in the coming weeks!
Back to school! @TheMill_TKAT we're busy preparing for an exhibition we'll be taking part in at Crawley Museum; today we've been making stitched portraits of our homes. If you look carefully, each home has been hand drawn and then stitched using free machine embroidery.
That's a wrap for another school year @TheMill_TKAT ! Year 4 enjoyed a day of 'pick n mix' activities that included sewing and hand painting cushions, graffiti and drawing. We said goodbye to Year 6 - they will be sorely missed but we wish them well in their new adventures 🤩🥳
Year 5 & 6 @TheMill_TKAT helped to put the finishing touches to our animated 'Pupils' Pandemic' animations this week; we'll be proud to share them when the time comes. Next week a 'behind the scenes' short video that describes how we've felt during the process of making.
This week @TheMill_TKAT we started working on the second and final part of our animated series; Ousman's powerful story about how his Mum got sick during the pandemic, and due to restrictions he was barely able to visit her.
Year 3 @TheMill_TKAT loved animating on a lightbox today as their contribution towards the Pupils' Pandemic Stories - working like busy bees! 🐝🐝🐝
