What is Canada's Greatest Structure? Each day I will showcase two structures for everyone to vote on. No statues or art installations. Top 64 vote-getters move on to Round 2. All structures chosen at random from a list. #CanadasGreatestStructure
Robarts Library: Located in Toronto and built in 1973, the library contains 4.5 million book, 4.1 million microfilm items and 740,000 other items. Built in the style of brutalist architecture, it has featured in several films including Resident Evil: Afterlife.
@CraigBaird Apologies to my alma matter but #GoHabsGo 🤘
@CraigBaird Robarts Library is the FAR better architecture. Unfortunately, it will lose because 1. People hate brutalism and 2. People love hockey.
@CraigBaird I want to pick the one with allllll theeeee boooooooks, but growing up a Canadiens fan….
@CraigBaird I like your content...but Robarts library? I did my time in the cubicles there while studying at U of T in the late 80's...but a "great structure"? Noooooooo....more like a concrete turkey!
