Here 2 painting I completed recently. With the focus of music I created these encaustic paintings. Using watercolor was an underpainting and then applying encaustic medium in layers fusing them into the wood substrate and then adding pigmented wax. #encaustic #contemporaryartist

Getting my ocd fix tonight by putting labels on all my encaustic paint tins. Bought these little tins on amazon the other day. They are perfect to melt wax into. When I paint all these go into a hot griddle, instant hot encaustic pallet. . . . . . . #encaustic #organized #artist

Mixed media artwork recently finished. This is an encaustic mixed media painting containing mulberry paper that has been embedded into the wax. Pigmented encaustic wax was then drawn onto the surface.

Sea Turtle. Some of my newest work. This was painted on a 9x12 cradle wood panel. I started with a watercolor under painting and then started to buildup layers of encaustic medium and pigmented medium for the foreground. This original is for sale aswell as prints. DM for more.
