Our Pre K students had so much fun with Mr. Byron Jones today during story time. We appreciate him taking the time to come and read to our students for Georgia Pre K Week!!
A big thank you to our Partners in Ed, Devotie Baptist Church, for sponsoring our pumpkins for the Painted Pumpkin Walk at the 2nd Saturday Fall into Art event in downtown Griffin on October 14th. We can’t wait to see how creative our classes are with their pumpkin characters.
155 out of 1,852 Georgia elementary schools are receiving recognition for 3rd grade reading growth based on the Georgia Milestones. This morning Crescent, Atkinson and Jordan Hill were recognized by State Superintendent Richard Woods. We are so proud!!!
We are SO EXCITED about all of the amazing math manipulatives we received from the GA DOE Math Opportunity Grant for our third, fourth, and fifth graders! We are making math FUN at Crescent!!!
We had 72 kids come out this morning to our first day of Running Club! The kids had an amazing time! Special shout out to Mykah Beard for running the most laps today with a total of 16! (9 laps = 1 mile). We can’t wait to keep seeing everyone on Tuesdays!
Crescent Parent Night is in full swing. Our third, fourth and fifth grade parents are hearing about all of the exciting things that their students will be learning and participating in this year. #reachforthestars

OG instruction began today!! We love seeing our students engaged in daily phonics instruction. @GSCS_ELA
Practice makes perfect!!! Our first year teachers are working hard to prepare for OG instruction to begin next week. We caught them practicing with our instructional coach yesterday. Mrs. Dix and Mrs. Stanton are ready for OG. So happy to have them as part of the Crescent team!

We had so much fun tonight at the Mother Son Kickball Game!! Our Crescent Moms showed up and showed out. A big thanks to our awesome Junior Guild and SHS Beta club volunteers.
This week we celebrated our 5th grade students who are participating in our math challenge. We are halfway through our challenge and these students are meeting or exceeding their goal. We are so proud of them for their hard work.
