Many of our centres are in schools or similar large buildings that would otherwise be empty over the holiday. However our dedicated volunteers make sure our guests get a festive welcome. And guests can even craft their own decorations to brighten things up. #HopeStartsHere
Our centres are open all week providing guests with three nutritious, hot meals each day. And our kitchen volunteers are the GREATEST! Right now they're up to their elbows in brussels sprouts or peeling mountains of spuds. And they do it all with a smile. #HopeStartsHere
Busy first shift! We served 397 guest dinners, gave out 272 items of clothing to over 100 guests, 130 guests had a safe & warm bed for the night in our centre with a further 25 guests referred to other centres❤️@crisis_uk @CrisisPeople #crisis #crisisatxmas #crisisatchristmas
For some people this could be the week they start to move out of homelessness, it might even be the last they spend with Crisis. We could not do this without our volunteers who are already hard at work making Christmas happen in our centres. To all our volunteers - THANK YOU.
Huge thanks to the lovely @elliegoulding for volunteering with us again this year. Visitors to one of our centres were treated to a familiar face serving coffee and sorting through donations. We really appreciate your support and for helping bring Christmas early to our guests.
