This Juan Soto stuff has me thinking. @MLB has the best opportunity to market its most dynamic player right now and do a LeBron-esque “decision” TV show. They don’t, and it’s why they suck at growing the game against all other sports.

This. This is why I’m annoyed at the Mets more than anything. They could have just left well enough alone, and we would have been happy and none the wiser. Instead, a lot of hype, and headache, back and closer to where we were when we were eliminated in the Wild Card.

Ken is 100% right. If you are lucky enough to be the .01% enough to own a sports franchise, then the goal (shouldn’t) be to make money since you don’t technically need it. You do it, because you love it and want to win. Period.

This attitude of “it’s a bad look” that the Astros won is exactly why I was hoping they’d win. Can’t get over something that happened 5 years ago and this team still wins. Rest of MLB should try catching up instead of complaining.
