Meet Deputy Perry, assigned to Canyon HS & Sierra Vista Jr. HS. He has been a School Resource Deputy for 13 years & assigned to the SCV Sheriff’s Station since 2001. Students & staff can feel confident with his wealth of knowledge obtained from working on campuses over the years.

Meet Deputy Martinez, assigned to Golden Valley HS, Bowman HS & La Mesa Jr. HS. He has been with the SCV Sheriff’s Station for 2 years, but with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department since 2017. His peers describe him as humble, hardworking, & kind. Welcome Deputy Martinez!

Meet our newest School Resource Deputy, Deputy Gonzales, assigned to Valencia HS & Rio Norte Jr. HS. Although she will be a new face to students this year, she is determined to bring safety to campus with knowledge gained from working at the SCV Sheriff’s Station the last 5 yrs.

Hello! from School Resource Deputy, Deputy Koch. He has been at the SCV Sheriff’s Station for 3 years & is assigned to Saugus HS & Arroyo Seco Jr. HS. A dedicated & hard working deputy, ready to show his #SaugusStrong spirit by helping staff & students in anyway possible.

To complete our introductions of School Resource Deputies, meet Sergeant Andrade, who oversees our SRDs. You may see him around campuses, checking in as well. With 16 years of training & experience, he has been with the SCV Sheriff’s Station for almost a year now.

Meet Deputy Matherly, assigned to West Ranch HS, Rancho Pico Jr. HS, & schools in Castaic. Although her 1st year as a school deputy was cut short last year due to the pandemic, she’s excited to be back on campus, making a difference in students’ lives.

Let’s start by meeting Deputy Guzman, assigned to Hart High School & Placerita Jr. HS for the past 7 years, & with the SCV Sheriff’s Station since 2007. If you spent a day following Deputy Guzman around campus, you’d see he is known by all students & always greeted with a smile.

As schools are preparing for in person learning, we’d like to take the time over the next few days to introduce the SCV Sheriff’s Station School Resource Deputies. SRDs provide security & a sense of leadership to high schools, JR. high schools & even elementary campuses.
