I regularly hear from people struggling to find a place to live in communities they love. That’s why we’re bringing in new rules to limit short-term rentals in BC starting May 1. These actions strike a good balance to make sure homes are for people, not investors. (1/2)
We’re going to keep working to make sure we’re delivering the homes people need. It’s a priority for our government. To learn more about the new rules that come into effect on May 1: gov.bc.ca/ShortTermRenta… (2/2)
@Dave_Eby From the Vancouver Sun, you have put 32% more people in homelessness. You have got to go..... vancouversun.com/opinion/opinio…
@Dave_Eby Again, a typical example of everyone thinking they can make rules and change everything.
@Dave_Eby Doing great work chief 🫡 Hopefully one day you'll be able to bring that energy to the federal level.
@Dave_Eby These short term rentals are around 500 sq ft and priced at $525,000 ... minimum wage is $17.40/hour. There is also 5% GST on these units. How will this free up affordable housing?
@Dave_Eby Oh like Andrew the actor you hired, using him as your anecdotal evidence to back your 🐂💩 You, kahlon and farnworth are the 3 most sleaziest corrupt antiseptic politicians in the history of BRITISH COLUMBIA
@Dave_Eby Don't own a short term rental. This change is morally bankrupt. All properly licensed STR, should have been grandfathered . License revoked upon disposition.
@Dave_Eby If the NDP and the hotel association are so concerned about the housing issue why is some of the hotel’s land where they plan to build more accommodation not being rezoned to allow for building of affordable housing/condos? Oh, right you’re in bed with each other!
