Let’s have some real talk about recruiting, scholarships, and college costs 👇 I hear this all the time from parents and athletes: 👉 “We’re not taking out loans. 👉 “We’re only going if it’s a full ride. Here’s the reality: 1️⃣ Full rides are RARE. Unless your child is an ELITE athlete with outstanding grades… full scholarships don’t come easy. 2️⃣ Mediocre grades = limited opportunities. Coaches aren’t giving full rides to athletes who didn’t handle their business in the classroom. 3️⃣ Some schools aren’t even set up to offer full rides. Many programs (especially JUCO, D3, NAIA) don’t have the scholarship budgets to cover everything for every athlete. 4️⃣ If every athlete got a full ride… schools would shut down. The numbers don’t add up. Schools need students paying something to keep programs alive. 5️⃣ Let’s be honest… Life isn’t free, and neither is getting an education. College costs something. Period. 6️⃣ Your real options: ✔️ Academic scholarships (Good GPA/Test Scores) ✔️ Athletic aid (For top-tier athletes) ✔️ Family contribution (Savings/payment plans) ✔️ Student loans (Reality for most students) 7️⃣ This isn’t to scare you… it’s to PREPARE you. If you’re not willing to invest something… you’re limiting your child’s opportunities. 8️⃣ Best advice: ✔️ Focus on grades ✔️ Keep improving your game ✔️ Stay open to ALL levels (JUCO, NAIA, D2, etc.) ✔️ Have real family talks about finances 9️⃣ Final thought: Opportunities exist… but they’re earned. Invest now… or risk missing out later. @CoachDaniels06
