It’s hard to go 5 minutes on twitter without Muslims arguing about something, whether it be Athari/Ashari, Sufi/Salafi, institute beef...And rarely is it to establish the haq but rather to massage the ego. We’re not progressing anywhere fast.

Sisters, Hijab is a commandment from Allah. You wear it solely to obey him. If a well known influencer takes it off that’s her journey, her life and her problem. Your journey is different. Your spiritual connection with Allah is yours and yours only.

@TheAynGhayn Formal scholarships is a way of recognising scholars, to make sure we don't deviate from the deen and to also stop anyone saying they are a scholar. Asking to lead prayer is a sign of respect from the other sheikhs but doesn't really mean anything about being a qualified scholar
@TheAynGhayn I am genuinely interested. For Islam to be perfect through our scholars, it has to have a proper system which cannot be open to criticism. If it is, it makes the deen weak, which is impossible. I honestly didn't know that just teaching at a maddrassah makes you a scholar.
@TheAynGhayn We wouldn't allow a person to do surgery on us who maybe recognised as a doctor by a few doctors. Personally I would be worried. As I said before I didn't know that you can become a scholar just by being 'recognised' by other scholars. To me that just does not sit right.
