Some of us still use MS BASIC derivatives now and then. I don't know which assembler they used, but I found the syntax pretty ugly, things like "LDAI 0" instead of "LDA #0" or referencing the $100-$1FF stack area as 256-511 feels weird 😅

Not all "AI Chatbots" are equal, just asking "which sources would you use if asked about topic X" highlights the quality of what you can expect. Like ChatGPT is mentioning things that have nothing to do with the platform, and mentions a book that nobody knows about for example.
