It doesn't matter whether this dog is a pitbull or any other breed. Doing this is a bad idea. Dogs are creatures of habit, and they are literally training this dog to bite the child. Even though this bite is inhibited, it's a neural pathway being reinforced that can activate…

I often see people with their dogs on leash, let their dog go up to other dogs and sniff each other nose to nose. In my experience, this interaction often leads to frustration or aggression in one or both dogs. Let me know if you also notice this happen with your dog!

This is a galgo (Spanish version of an English greyhound). I adore the nature of greyhound dogs! As you can see here in the video they can be goofy and playful. Unless you own one or know them well, you don't normally see this side to them. Highly recommend adopting one!

This robotic dog on the left is real, and is starting to look and act very lifelike. When you can buy a convincing realistic robot dog, which would you pick? A real dog, or a machine?
Some gentle and appropriate play, to bring a smile into your day!

If this was a thing, then vets around the world would have people on crutches visiting them, asking why their dog is limping. Vets would have to learn in vet school that a possible cause of a limping dog is a limping owner! (Spoiler, vets aren't taught this) #vettwitter

This is an example of redirected aggression. This dog, like many, is fearfully aggressive towards the vacuum cleaner. However, the dog is redirecting the aggression onto the bed, helping the person vacuuming! This is unpleasant for the dog, it would be better to lock them away...

We can sometimes see this nodding off behaviour in dogs, when they are feeling physically exhausted, but are too excited or anxious or fearful to sleep. So they stay awake and fight the tiredness.

Interesting to see that EVERYONE here is petting this dog on the top of the head. My default is to touch them on the chest or side of the neck/shoulder (as long as they don't appear fearful). The top of the head can be one of the most intimidating places to touch a dog!

The three main reasons that many vets aren't like this are: 1) time - people are often intolerant of a vet running behind schedule, and so making friends with every single pet for 2-5 minutes might put you behind and lead to a mean grumpy client having a go at you for being…

Some accounts are photoshopping FAKE TEARS onto dogs, to trick people into thinking they are crying from sadness. They do this to get likes and engagement of course. Dogs only get teary eyes for medical reasons, not emotional ones!
Just so this doesn't get buried in the replies! So the dog is actually a female, the mother of the puppies: x.com/denniswormald/…
