Always a pleasure to interact with our Marine Security Guards (MSGs) around the world. Continuing my China visit by meeting these terrific MSGs at our Consulate in Shenyang - thank you for all that you do. @USA_China_Talk
Since 1904, the U.S. Consulate in Shenyang has engaged local Chinese citizens and leaders in northeast China. It was great to visit our team there to commemorate 120 years of advocating for America in China. @USA_China_Talk
Productive meeting with PRC Ministry of Foreign Affairs Executive Vice Minister Ma. We had a candid and constructive meeting as part of ongoing efforts to maintain open lines of communication and responsibly manage competition.

Honored to celebrate Foreign Affairs Day with public servants that paved the way for me and so many others @StateDept and to remember those who lost their lives in service. Full remarks here: state.gov/foreign-affair…
Thrilled to see 15 @StateDept ambassadors confirmed and on their way to postings abroad. I’ll say it again: U.S. national security is best served when our most experienced leaders are working overseas on behalf of the American people.
One year on the job and counting - what a tremendous honor it’s been to serve at @StateDept once again. Check out some of these highlights we shared last month!

Great to tour the Port of Lobito w/ @PowerUSAID. The Lobito Corridor will create additional opportunities for trade & investment in Angola. In particular, it presents enormous potential for 🇦🇴 to diversify its economy, including its agriculture & minerals sectors. @USAmbAngola

Mobile banking can be transformative, and @PowerUSAID and I got to see firsthand the work that U.S. company @AfricellGroup is doing, with @USAID support, to expand mobile money services in Angola.

Women farmers play a critical role in agricultural development and economic growth. @USAID’s investment in the Lobito Corridor will help to link women, smallholder farmers to value chains that will use the rail line as a critical component of the project’s sustainability.

U.S. investment in the Lobito Corridor—part of @POTUS’ global infrastructure initiative—will benefit all via equitable development. @PowerUSAID and I were thrilled to be the first senior 🇺🇸 officials to ride this train that will soon transform connectivity across Africa. @US_PGI
