@DocBrock9 RCRI required 2d LOS & only incl in-hosp complic-not 30d. In our AmJCard paper, we found MICA to have the lowest % but when elevated was more accurate. These are only tools to help. I think <1% is an artificial cutoff as we treat pts w/ 2-3% predicted risk in a similar fashion.

@tony_breu @DocBrock9 @VRSiebertMD @AlexMargineanMD @yuliyam13 @BostonChiefs @rbganatra @TheFunshul So RCRI is fine if you remember to go by a score of 0 means low risk and anything above means you don’t know. For other tools (Gupta, ACS, AUB-HAS2) are all fine to figure out that question of risk stratification. My website has the algorithm we use: preopevalguide.com
