@DocOnDev Even if I sternly told my surgeon "I'm not paying you to wash your hands, just cut me open as fast as you can" I feel confident she would ignore me. Because she is a professional. Held to higher standards/ethics than I am asking for. To do no harm whether I'm telling her to or not
@DocOnDev @unclebobmartin Agree, but this becomes extremely difficult in a large company with a siloed vertical organization, even when you want to do your job correctly most of the time you are restricted to do so
@DocOnDev The stakeholder: when it's ready. Me: if it's finished 😂
@DocOnDev If they pay you for what you know you should be deciding how to archive their goals, if not you are being paid just to type, kinda an expensive ticket2pr transpiler.
@DocOnDev This is one of the greatest motivators behind open source—people want to do their job correctly, combined with enabling platforms, combined with retribution for attempting it at work. (Not all work env recognize incorrect vs correct way to do a job, even after demonstrated.)
