Good trading is actually really boring. It takes time and experience to understand this. If you get excited or feel any emotion when you place trades or are constantly looking at P&L, just be aware and know it is most likely hurting you.

One of the most important realizations I've had in my trading career: Systematic will always dominate discretion. You should be able to code your system into binary rules. If you can't, you don't have a system. And therefore, are subject to the downside of human emotion.
