Last night we met yet another OC resident from Tustin, whose husband served their time at the county jail and was then transferred to ICE custody. Due to these circumstances, the parents lost custody of their children. Ya basta! We demand ZERO ICE Transfers in Orange County!

Today I voted for the passage of The Right to Contraception Act to provide federal protection for access to contraception and contraceptive. Once signed into law, states won't be able to block or take away family planning tools from Americans.

Hold the House. Add just 2 more Democratic Senators. Eliminate the filibuster and pass a bill codifying Roe into law. That's our job in November and it's doable. If you voted in 2020 and vote again in 2022, we will win.

BREAKING: Abortion services can resume in Utah! A Utah court just blocked the state's abortion ban, which took effect after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. While this is a win, it's only the first step in the long fight ahead.

PSA: Many abortion bans are NOT yet in effect!!! States with a total abortion ban in effect as of 6/27: Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah. Ohio has a 6-Week ban in effect. Abortion is legal (but not necessarily accessible) in all other states!

This decision should be left to a woman, her doctor, and her God. We cannot allow SCOTUS to reconsider past rulings, such as LGBTQIA+ rights and access to contraception.

Clarence Thomas writes, in a concurring opinion, that the Supreme Court should reconsider Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell — the rulings that now protect contraception, same-sex relationships, and same-sex marriage.
