"I want this unit made," he says to the R&D department of the base, slapping down a (cont) tl.gd/n30ork
He felt too far from combat. He wanted the war to just end.
He lays in his bunk, fashioned next to his Jegan, looking up to the roof of the base. Despite small ambushes on Zeon, things were silent.
Feeling lucky, Saren sends in his letter of recommendation for promotion to an Ensign, hoping it comes out well.
"Squad, do not take leave unless we are given orders to take Christmas off."
Two Jegans and one Stark Jegan launched to counteract the Zeon insurrection. "Ready all (cont) tl.gd/n2ovnf
"Zeon forces sighted about five clicks out. Get to your Jegans, squad!" Saren rushed to his own, ready to strike first.
"This had better be right, and these 'hotspot zones' not be like the base I am assigned to. It's really a letdown."
On an unrelated note to Christmas, Saren received the news that he would be making regular escort trips through hotspot zones.
With Operation: Christmas underway, Saren knew that his squad would have a very merry holiday. "Merry Christmas."
"Commencing Operation: Christmas." Saren began searching around the base PX looking for presents for his squad. It would be a good day.
Part of him was glad that he was not fighting, his distaste for killing other soldiers was ever-present.
The 'hotspot base' he was transferred to was actually aside from combat, but was imperative strategically.
Come morning, the carrier would be gone, and they would be on their way to their new station.
