Banning books does not protect children. It is a violation of their human rights for access, privacy, & intellectual freedom. 📚

For those incredulous over the banning of #Maus, just remember the real reason. It's not cuss words/nudity. it's anything that impugns the common enemy of white supremacy. Its a gateway into squashing anything that might hold accountable or responsible those who profess it.

On #HolocaustRemembranceDay, I honor my father who survived #Auschwitz, the Death March, and Mauthausen. He met my 92 yo survivor mother in a DP camp. We must share the survivor experience and books like #Maus should be read by all. One of my father’s handwritten poems below 💔

The town employee testing clinic scheduled for this morning was just cancelled because the fire department chief who was running it tested positive this morning. I really do not have a good feeling about this week. 😞
