Last week, the ERA caucus celebrated it’s one year anniversary. In one year, we have grown to the 5th largest caucus in Congress. Together, we will enshrine the ERA and the protections it would provide into our nations most foundational document.
Passing the #ERA has been a century-long struggle for gender equality. With women still earning an average of 82% of what men earn, there's still so much more progress that needs to be made. I stand with these Marylanders in their fight for true equality. times-news.com/news/local_new…
Women have done the work of preserving & defending our democracy for centuries, & it’s past time our laws recognize our contributions. This #WomensHistoryMonth, we can honor women by passing the Equal Rights Amendment and enshrining gender equality into the Constitution.
This #WomensHistoryMonth, we continue our fight to enshrine the Equal Rights Amendment into the Constitution. Gender equality is long overdue, and we owe it to the women, LGBTQ+ folks, and all those who have fought for over 100 years for the ERA to finally get this done.
Happy Birthday to trailblazer Barbara Jordan, the first Black woman from the South elected to Congress and a fierce advocate for the Equal Rights Amendment 🎉💚
Happy Belated Birthday to the one and only Flo Kennedy, a dynamic civil rights leader and advocate for the Equal Rights Amendment, who dedicated her life to speaking out against racial & gender injustice! 🎉💚
Black women have always been at the forefront of the fight for the Equal Rights Amendment—but rarely on the front page of its coverage. This #BlackHistoryMonth, we continue our fight for the #ERA, heeding the calls of Black women & Black queer people who have come before us.
One year ago today, we introduced legislation to remove the arbitrary deadline that has delayed enshrining the #EqualRightsAmendment as the 28th Amendment to the Constitution. Equality is long overdue. We must bring H.J. Res 25 to the floor for a vote.
Four years ago today, Virginia became the 38th and final state necessary to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment by passing my SJ1. Yet, the #ERA is still not published in the U.S. Constitution. Today, as Vice-Chair of the @ERACaucus, I'm working to fix that.
As a co-founder and co-chair, I’m proud to help launch the @ERACaucus website – the first federal government site dedicated solely to enshrining the #EqualRightsAmendment as the 28th Amendment. Let’s get this done. bush.house.gov/era
Excited to share that we have a brand new website! It’s the first federal gov site dedicated to the #ERA🏆 Check out the @ERACaucus's website to track our efforts to enshrine the Equal Rights Amendment ⬇️ bush.house.gov/era
Happy New Year! May the 101st year of our fight to enshrine the Equal Rights Amendment in our Constitution be our last.
#OTD 100 years ago, the Equal Rights Amendment was introduced in the House. I'm proud to follow in the footsteps of the Black and LGBTQ+ leaders who have always been at the forefront of the fight for constitutional gender equality. As part of the @ERACaucus, I fight on.
Shirley Chisholm was a history-maker, effective legislator, and a forceful champion for the #EqualRightsAmendment. On her birthday & every day, we stand on her shoulders leading a multi-racial, multi-generational coalition to enshrine the #ERA because gender equality is overdue.
Co-Chairs of the @ERACaucus @RepCori & @RepPressley met today with state legislators from 31 states to strategize how they can support the push to get the Equal Rights Amendment across the finish line. The nationwide movement for constitutional equality is growing.
The United Nations Human Rights Committee cited the #EqualRightsAmendment as a central key to addressing gender inequity in its recommendations for the U.S. It's past time we cement constitutional gender equality for all people. That's why we're working to enshrine the ERA.
For every $1 earned by a non-Hispanic white man, Latinas make $0.54. Stand with us in the fight to finalize the ERA this #LatinaEqualPayDay It’s time for change.
Wage inequality is gender inequality. We're fighting to enshrine the Equal Rights Amendment, which will give us the tools to close the gender wage gap.
.@POTUS agrees we need to enshrine the #EqualRightsAmendment. That’s exactly what we’re fighting for.

My current situation. @ERACaucus hosting Equal Rights Amendment Centennial Reception. Congresswomen Bush & Pressly lead this & with the erasure of Congresswoman Chisholm's & other's contributions, I finally feel like my voice is being represented as a Black woman. #ERA
On August 26 we celebrate #NationalWomensEqualityDay, the day in 1920 when the 19th amendment was adopted. But 100+ years later, we are still fighting for equal rights. I’m joining the @ERACaucus in calling to enshrine the ERA into our Constitution.
We must affirm the ERA as the 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. I join the @ERACaucus in efforts to finally enshrine gender equality in the Constitution.
Constitutional equality applies to *everyone* in America, including our LGBTQ+ siblings. This #PrideMonth & every month, I'm grateful to have partners like @TheTaskForce, @TransLatina_C, @PrideatWork & @NBJContheMove in the fight to enshrine the #EqualRightsAmendment.
Glad to join @Kate_Kelly_Esq for tonight's #ERA panel to discuss my efforts in Congress to enshrine the ERA in our Constitution. In 2020, I led the charge to ratify the ERA in Virginia. Today, as Vice-Chair of the @ERACaucus, I'm fighting for gender equality under the law.
100 years after the Equal Rights Amendment was first introduced, I’m proud to be in @RepPressley & @RepCori’s ERA Caucus which has over 60 members & growing. From closing the pay gap to combatting discrimination, the ERA will ensure equality & help protect women's rights.
It’s long past time the Constitution affirms gender equality in the eyes of the law. We must continue our push to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment once and for all.
For the first time in 40 years, the Senate just voted on the Equal Rights Amendment. While it did not pass the Senate, this vote is a result of the momentum we have built for constitutional gender equality. The fight to affirm the ERA as the 28th Amendment is alive and well.
100 years have passed since #ERA was first introduced. Waiting for equality is not an option. As Vice Chair of the #ERACaucus, I'm in the fight w/ you to ensure Congress finally enshrines gender equality in our Constitution. Thank you @RepCori & @RepPressley for your leadership!
I led the charge to make Virginia the 38th and final state to ratify the ERA. I am proud to continue those efforts in Congress as Vice Chair of the @ERACaucus. The Senate must act. Equality is long overdue. bit.ly/425mFOY
Today, the @DemWomenCaucus and the @ERACaucus marched to the Senate to make clear: we need the #ERANow. Despite some Senate Republicans refusing to stand with women, we’re not going to back down—we’re going to fight harder.
Members of the Democratic Women’s Caucus and ERA Caucus marched over to the Senate and are currently sitting in the chamber as they push for the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment. “What do we want? ERA! When do we want it? Now!”
It's a shame that 100 years after the Equal Rights Amendment was first introduced, we are still fighting for gender equality in our Constitution. So today, we marched to the Senate floor to demand Congress finally pass the #EqualRightsAmendment tiktok.com/t/ZTRTwybGv/
Today was a setback, but our fight for the #EqualRightsAmendment isn't over. Equality is overdue, and we'll keep organizing to get this done. #ERANow.
We are here standing united with @SenatorCardin, @RepCori, and more for the Equal Rights Amendment We will fight side-by-side to establish the full Constitutional equality women deserve This vote was one more step in the march for equality, and we'll keep fighting until we win
I joined the @ERACaucus and members of @HouseDemocrats to march to the Senate floor and demand that they pass the #EqualRightsAmendment. Equal rights can’t wait! #ERANOW
Today, our colleagues in the Senate must choose to stand with a century of advocates and vote YES for constitutional gender equality. The time to remove the time limit for the Equal Rights Amendment is NOW. #Senate4ERA
We're entering the Senate chamber to demand gender equality. #ERANow #EqualRightsAmendment
