EVs cost less to drive and pollute less, period. An EV uses electricity that is typically generated from sources that are cleaner than burning gasoline or diesel in a vehicle.

Technology and infrastructure advancements are making EVs an excellent alternative to gas-powered cars. You could eliminate your gas bill and become part of the sustainable movement. Best of all, driving an EV does not mean you compromise performance or fun.

Most of your charging takes place at home over night when the cost of electricity is lowest. If you need to charge while on the road, Canada has over 5,000 public charging stations, many of which are DC-Quick chargers

Lower maintenance costs EVs do not have an engine that needs maintenance or oil replacement. And in the case of pure-electric vehicles, brake use is minimal due to the regenerative braking that automatically slows the car down when you let your foot off the accelerator #ev #tesla

All EVs come standard with a cord set that lets you charge using a regular wall socket. Many EV drivers will install a charging station that will easily charge an EV battery from empty to full overnight. Just plug your car in, walk inside and wake up to a full carge. #tesla

Electric cars cost more to buy, but they're more affordable to run than gas-powered cars. For one thing, fuel costs are lower. ... Electric cars are also a lot cheaper to maintain and service because they have fewer moving parts and don't need oil changes. You can even save money

Fully electric cars sold today travel 200+ km on a single charge. There are also several plug-in hybrids available that will travel 40-80 km on electric before switching to a gasoline engine/generator for an additional 500-900 km of gas range.

Just last year, the City of Toronto in partnership with Hydro One installed 17 FLO chargers on residential streets across the city with more to follow in the coming years. This allows residents who may not have access to home chargers a convenient way to charge on their streets.
