Big Law firm Hogan Lovells fired a partner for supporting Dobbs overturning Roe v. Wade. Now, they're apologizing! Glad to see another example of Big Law stepping back from the brink of intolerance! 2025 seems to be a good year for accepting conservative views in Big Law
@EWess92 This sounds more like they were going to get annihilated in an entirely justified lawsuit
@EWess92 This turnaround is too late for many of us, who are now too far off of that reservation ever to get back on it.
@EWess92 @JCNSeverino Sounds more like a settlement than an apology.
@EWess92 Just embarrassing from one of the whitest shoe law firms. Not the apology, which seems to be part of a settlement, but the horrendous judgment and lack of character that necessitated it.
@EWess92 @HarmeetKDhillon They stepped back from a lawsuit. They’re probably still intolerant.
@EWess92 @HarmeetKDhillon That mea culpa sounds like the resolution of a lawsuit to me.
@EWess92 The language suggests this is a settlement they want to mask as a voluntary apology
@EWess92 @MaxNordau This is obviously a statement required by a settlement agreement.
@EWess92 That is not an apology. They wrote fluff as part of a settlement.
@EWess92 Lived through this shit and now am cheering every time Trump kicks a big law firm in the balls.
@EWess92 @HarmeetKDhillon Required post for a settlement. Shame on them for doing this in the first place.
@EWess92 The statement reads like it came from a settlement where Ms. Keller was threatening to sue for defamation. Good for her!
@EWess92 Reading the tea leaves, this was a carefully crafted statement, which Ms. Keller insisted on as a non-negotiable term of a settlement agreement between the parties.
@EWess92 Do I get to fire an associate for being woke if I apologize in 3 years?
@EWess92 @varadmehta I’m sure they also made a sizable donation to her personal bank account.
@EWess92 Is this an apology or is it how lawyers "apologize"? 😂
@EWess92 Translation they quietly settled with her before getting crushed
@EWess92 she works with autists? invite her to vibecamp!
@EWess92 Ahhh the value of “wrongful termination” lawsuits These corrupt firms & lawyers wouldn’t apologize unless you flogged them good & well until they screamed for mercy
@EWess92 ps this is not an apology in fact, it vastly understates what the firm did to her this is a highly lawyered settlement
@EWess92 Yeah right! 1 very isolated incident.
