Heads up. Nasty bug found in solidity 0.8.13 and 0.8.14 when using assembly with certain optimization settings. Compiler literally removes certain memory operations. medium.com/certora/overly…

Ever find yourself curious what the current memory layout looks like on a contract, but don't have ready access to more advanced tools? You can just set `bytes` as the return value to the function in question, then drop a call to this little function at your preferred breakpoint

The only functions you really need to understand to avoid honeypots are expressions written in the transfer() and _transfer() functions. Just glance at the sanity checks and you should be safe from 98% of the honeypot variants out there.

More advanced honeypots have dynamic variables in the sanity checks that can be manipulated by the contract owner to obscure the reader from the control flow. Follow the path of the sanity check to understand the pattern.

This is actually not true. It would be more effective to check the following: require(msg.sender.code.length == 0); tx.origin can proxy through malicious smart contracts as following: wallet A -> malicious contract B -> target contract C.

Looks like this current attack on #NFTs has been a month in the making. etherscan.io/address/0xa2c0… 28 days ago this contract was launched and 5 hrs ago the first transaction came through to begin mass draining wallets. Opensea migration contract has only been live for a few days

Web 3.0 is still in its infant stage in terms of potential. Use your time wisely, build something unique. Gamify finance, ease the barrier of entry. Thank yourself in a year or two for having built the next Amazon or Gucci. Solve problems and give back.
