I honestly don't get the obsession with collecting skins. They're nothing but bragging rights to say you collected this, and then flash it around like a trophy when you show your friends or something. Especially badge or limited skins.

I do like that the player is bland because it's (from what I think) supposed to be for the user's interpretation, but then again, I wish the player had at least more to them than just a blank slate of a personality.
