I'm going to be blunt. With men like Andrew Tate (a self-proclaimed ‘misogynist’) being viewed 11.6 billion times and men like David Carrick in our police force, no, I am not shocked 1 in 4 women have been raped or sexually assaulted or that rape convictions are at their lowest.

I've seen hundreds of tweets about telling women to stop having sex if they don't want to get pregnant but I've seen zero calls for men to become celibate. It will never cease to amaze me how little men are blamed for getting someone pregnant. This is about control and patriarchy

The discussion around Sarah Everard makes me so sad about how normalised for women things like personal safety are. I remember a man following me as I was walking home asking for my number once and I was like “oh great now I have to detour so he doesn’t know where I live”
