When I was reading @JackyWilsonHQ The Illustrated Mum as a kid in the 90s, I somehow missed it was about a lady called Marigold who has #bipolar. Such a revolutionary take for a kids book. I am now reading the sequel for adults- Picture Imperfect and will review it soon!

It is a hopeful story– Arabella never loses sight of hope even when the Cloud tells her life is scary, saying ‘If I can see the sun and smell the passing rain, everything will be alright. The storm will not last forever’. This is the key message of our story.

Susan was welcomed into Canada where she met and married a fellow survivor Abraham Pollack, later moving to England where they built a life for themselves with children, grandchildren and finding her brother alive and living back in their home town in Hungary.
