Your Turn, Thursday: What was the very first song you learned on guitar? Bonus points if you still play it!
@ElixirStrings “It’s So Easy” by Charles Hardin Holly.
@ElixirStrings Not sure about a whole song, but Smoke on the water is everybody's first riff, right??
@ElixirStrings Too old to remember the first song learned but “Every time that you walk in the room” was the first I performed live on stage in the 60s. It’s still a great song with great riffs but I don’t play it anymore. My audiences don’t know it.
@ElixirStrings I found a guitar in the basement with one string and badly figured out the Sunshine of Your Love riff. 35 years later I think I could still play it!
@ElixirStrings Hell ain’t a bad place to be 🤙🏻
“We have tacitly abandoned certain public spaces to the most disordered and depraved among us because enforcing the law feels mean and makes us uncomfortable,” writes @katrosenfield.
