This fantastic map by @PeterZeihan shows which nations depend on food imports and which nations can feed themselves (and export the surplus). Rich oil states don't need to worry as they can just throw money at the problem. China is at risk ie. Source: buff.ly/41uqM6J

I've ALWAYS struggled with portraits but have recently put in lots of practice to improve on them ✍️ These pencil self-portraits are 6 months apart and I think the improvements are remarkable!

6 months ago I slipped into someone elses graduation robes (feeling like an absolute fraud) to get this picture before moving to New Zealand Today my PhD defence corrections have been accepted and this picture is finally justified and I can pretend I had a graduation 🎓 #PhDone

Completed my first ever mural after ~25 hours 😁 The waves of the corrugated iron definitely added to the challenge! 🖌️ The bird is the native and charismatic tūī, which loves the seeds of the harakeke (NZ flax) Would love to do more murals 🎨 #NewZealand #mural #art

Had a lovely last day at work last week with new and old friends from @BangorSNS with crêpes in the sun ☀️ I've submitted my PhD thesis now after 4 years. What amazing memories. Thanks to everyone who made it so special ☺️

Perfect conditions for my 2nd time running the amazing #trailmarathonwales on the weekend @CoedyBreninFP Managed a new marathon PB of <4h over the course with a tough 1200m ascent. This is a whole 30mins faster than when I did it in 2019. Running more makes you faster it seems!
