In Spielberg’s A.I., it’s very unrealistic that David’s lifelike qualities would’ve swayed the crowd at the Flesh Fair not to kill him. Human beings, once held captive by a narrative, will commit any atrocity the narrative requires. He’d have been burned to death quickly.

The key to doing good work with AI filmmaking is to not look at anything anyone else is doing, take as long as you need, and expect (and be happy with) making $0 to escape all toxic incentives. Anything else is just a race to the bottom.

youtube.com/watch?v=o1q6Hh… This is extremely important for AI filmmaking. The biggest problem we have is that the models don't understand granular directions because they don't understand the underlying "joints", as it were, of the imagery they create. Now we know a way forward.

Carl Sagan’s Demon Haunted World is so spot-on that even I fall for some of the bullshit these days because it’s all just so dense and our collective epistemology is so irretrievably broken. Truly, that book lays out exactly the world we’re living in.
