Thank you to all who have donated to the 16th Street Garden Entrance project. This lower school naturalist (pic attached) told me she hopes our new garden will become a migratory stopping point for Monarchs. On her behalf, THANK YOU!

FSS, led by chess expert, Ross Colby, won the third-place school trophy, and a FSS fifth grader won the first-place individual trophy for K6 U500 at the 2020 PA State Scholastic Championships that took place over the weekend in Gettysburg. Kudos to the entire FSS K6 U500 team!

Let’s congratulate the FSS Chess Team Champs! FSS tied for first place with Germantown Friends in the Philadelphia Area Private School Chess League Tournament this past weekend. This is our first top spot since the tournament began three years ago. Go team!

Can’t wait to see “James and the Giant Peach” the FSS Middle School play later this week! The play is in partnership with the Walnut Street Theater Dept. of Education, in the Blauvelt Theatre. Admission is $5. Thursday, February 27, 4:30 p.m. and Friday, February 28, 6:00 p.m.

Feb 18-21: The PA Wellness Committee has partnered with the school to create the first-ever "Wellness Week" for our entire school community. Tomorrow is Keep It Moving Friday Community building: Middle and upper school students are invited to recess with lower school students.
