Staying agile under #GDPR ! We did a dry run on a new project in completing a Data Privacy Impact assessment for GDPR compliance. Some teething issues and learning to be done, but the overall feeling was that it will slow delivery down. Any other findings out there?

For GDPR compliance must you get permission from project stakeholders to include them in any formal recorded stakeholder analysis? Also, would they be able to request access to any findings recorded? We ask, as this process can involve identifying a lack of project support.

Digital marketing uses statistical associations rules to dynamically work out that customers who bought item A often buy items B, C...and will push offers to them. Could the same method be used for auto scoring project risks? E.G. dev A, working on code base 1, for customer x =?

Some Ideas from the team at FW PM. -fitbit heart rates, to know when meetings need a break. -team job website visits, to predict attrition and morale. -team birthdays, coupled with Social Network Analysis, to predict a long team lunch, night out, with next day late starts 😄.

Data Science say AI makes better decisions than humans as it can combine data from many sources. In predicting crime, it can combine weather, policing, unemployment, Super Bowl prediction.. What “left-field” data-sets should modern human PMs be integrating in delivery strategy?

Interesting option for Social Network Analysis (SNA) on corporate social networks like Yammer swoopanalytics.com. It got me thinking that it could be used for understanding the relationships and sentiment of your key stakeholders throughout a project. Any real examples?

Thanks for the feedback on PM practice “toothbrush” routines. With anything routine, the next question is what could be automated, to save time? Could we see PM chat-bot stand-up facilitation for knowledge workers? Could project stakeholder comms be automated? Other ideas?

Power to the people/customer! My recent Amazon purchase failed to materialise on time. The vendor’s response was a full refund, and they told us to keep the item when it arrived. In return, they begged we did not give them a bad rating. Tech driving a new balance of power 👌.

Working with a client looking to form a big data project, mining data “lakes”. They are unsure of the requirements until they analyse the data. This sounds ideally placed for a Agile/prototyping approach, but they are insisting on Waterfall. Any tips on how to do this?
