Mowers and blowers will be busy as we try to catch up from Labor Day weekend. With the rain (1.25”) we couldn’t get on fairways and it’s showing this morning! First soaking rain in quite a while, so we’ll gladly take this problem!

Starting tee aerification today on the north complexes. We will wrap these up today and head to south tomorrow. Our goal is to get fert down by Friday and overseed next week. With 1.25 acres of tee surface and 23-25k rounds, we got to keep things moving!

Dew dragging type of weather. This time of year we like to drag fairways to remove the dew from the leaf blade. This reduces the leaf blade wetness time and helps reduce exposure to gray leaf spot. Fall is knocking on the door.

Less is more in this kind of heat. Place is sprayed up, hoses are in use and water bottles filled. Looks like a break in weather tomorrow (thankfully) and hoping we don’t get bad storms with it.

Final day of prep for Fun Fest in motion. Just want to give a shoutout to my staff for the work they’ve done this whole season. They have done an amazing job and the course shows that. Without them we got nothing. Let’s put a bow on today and finish summer strong.

Working on reclaiming bunker edges. As you can see from the before/after, it is much needed. Last week we got #9 done and we knocked out the right bunker on #18 today. Those were the worst two by far, but will continue working down our list. Great job, Carson!

Seems like this is all we do lately. Another storm brought more limbs/trees down. Got this cut off the road, but lost another 100’ of fence along Center. Will have the course cleaned up today just in time for another round of storms Thursday & Friday.

An unexpected storm brought .2” of rain, limbs down along with 2 trees. It’s been a tough week with all the pop up storms and humidity. Hoping we can firm back up next week. Until then it looks like we have our work cut out for us.

With the amount of rain this week (2.3”) and the two pop up storms today (.4” total) we decided to knock out a fairway spray tonight. Disease pressure is through the roof and we need to get covered up. Brown patch, pythium and GLS are all on the table right now! 🥵

1.15” of rain last night which puts us at 1.75” since Monday night. Humidity up and breeze down means it’s time to let them breathe. Disease pressure ramped up quickly! No carts this morning but will update Pro Shop late morning for PM plan.

Little heat prep underway. Getting a wetting agent/soils product/fungicide down and watered in before wind and triple digits slide in here in a few days. We will get a deeper water on it tonight and should help us through this tough strech.

Beautiful morning for some birdies (or bogeys). Thankful to have a dedicated and talented team. We’ve done a ton of projects this year but we’ll pump the breaks on them as summer sets in. Daily grind is in full effect.

1.5” total of soaking rain. No cart restrictions, but it’s soft so be careful. With everything soft, ball marks and divots become more of an issue. Fill and repair please!
