The problem I have seen with these last few years of standard is there are 1-3 decks that gatekeep the format and when key cards get banned, some new couple of decks become the best and repeat the cycle ad nauseam. It's very possible WotC just needs to reduce power in standard.

I really wanted to try and give the Spiderman set a chance, but after seeing this first wave of spoilers, I'm really disappointed. This set feels like something the custom card reddit vomited up. I don't care that it's UB, but I do care that it doesn't feel like Magic.

Positives: Solid changes Negative: There needed to be more. When you have unscheduled updates, you can be conservative with bans because you are aggressive with time. With scheduled updates, this philosophy needs to flip. If updates don't cause shake-up's, the there is no point.

Charlotte was a trainwreck. 0-4 Main Event, 1-2 in the 10k (I could have kept playing, but I just wasn't having fun). Not to mention my anxiety and depression just flared up like crazy. I feel like I need to do a lot more. I'm just not where I want to be yet.
