Vocations Awareness Week Chicago Stop 1/3: @Fireplace60615 to meet up with Sister Julia! We found a space that fuels & sustains change-makers, & is cultivating hyper-local community that shares life, practices mutual aid and values service.
2 years ago when I was working on the plan for the @Fireplace60615 I imagined it would be a place for the Chicago @NunsAndNones group to gather. Pumpkin cake and apple cider is ready! Today it is happening! :)
I’m playing a solo acoustic show at @Fireplace60615 on Friday the 23rd. For the past week I’ve been working up my performance stamina, playing 3-4 songs at a time, to get my arms, fingers, and voice back in shape. Tonight, at last, things started feeling much better :)

Had a fun last night at @Fireplace60615 in Chicago talking about Francis of Assisi with Franciscans and others, all of us trying to find the way. We talked about how he never stopped asking questions, as when, late in his career he'd still pray, "Who are you, Lord? And who am I?"
