So this morning at the @AIGinsurance Senior cup for ladies, both Captains and Lady Captains from @Douglasgolfclub and @CountySligoGC met and wished each other well. It’s a very well organised event by both the home club and @GolfIreland_

Here’s a nice story, in 2018 @CountySligoGC won the junior foursomes and I was the team captain. Today, my son Eddie who was part of the panel along with his assistant, Niall McDermott back then, won for the first time since then as team Captain and I’m club Captain. #prouddad

Yesterday was a very special day where I attended David Leonard’s Captains day @Strandhill_GC and had the honour of addressing the members at the dinner as @CountySligoGC Captain. It was a lovely moment as both my father and grandfather were previously Captains of Strandhill.

One of the great traditions @CountySligoGC when you’re Captain is picking the pins for your Captains day. I’m just back having gone round our beautiful course with Stu Sheridan and I have to be honest, I’ve been very fair to our members. BTW, the course is in unbelievable shape.
