Sitting here on a sunny Saturday clearing my lab results. But unlike most GPs, I don't mind. As a private GP, my time is being remunerated appropriately, all the tests were requested by me, and I know all my patients well enough to be able to interpret the results easily.

On Sunday @DrHFRyan attended the Light Foundation Interfaith Ramadan Dinner at Southport Mosque. Given the events which affected Southport last summer, it was heartening to be in a room full of people learning more about each other. Orange cake was a particular hit with the kids!

March is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Some private medical clinics encourage women to have a Ca125 blood test to screen for the disease even if they don't have any symptoms. At Formby GP we don't recommend this, due to the UKCTOCS trial. Listen to this video to find out more.
