Writing a Tweet isn't hard. Going on a walk isn't hard. Meditation isn't hard. Doing all those on a consistent daily basis (and waiting for their effects to compound) is where the true challenge lies.
A pattern I’ve noticed in high-performing creators: • They lift weights • They drink black coffee • They write only for 4 hours/day You don’t need another writing course. You need lifestyle design.
Do more stuff that doesn't show immediate result.
The high-achieving perfectionist won’t make it in the creator game. • Never good/plenty enough • Always feeling behind • Overwhelm & quit That was me 2 months ago. Stop ruining the game by playing it so seriously: • Reframe work as play • Authenticity over numbers •…
You’re only 1 espresso and 90 minutes of focused deepwork away from turning an unproductive day into a productive one.
Never take a final career form: “I’m a designer” “I’m a marketeer” “I’m a copywriter” Stack career capital instead: • Learn design • Learn marketing • Learn copywriting @thedankoe is the best example of how this can turn out.
Turn your writer’s block into writing blocks. If you don’t schedule focused deep work — it won’t happen.
Sometimes, my biggest enabler to get stuff done is to liberate myself from the idea that I 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 get stuff done.
Don’t wait to start until you have all • clarity • energy • courage you think you need to have. • start small • embrace chaos • lower expectations And those things will gradually come.
I was stuck in a rut for almost 2 months. Nostalgia for my most productive & happy days only made me feel more miserable. Stop comparing yourself with your 'best' version. Try to be 1% better than your 'worst' version.
I ran out of content ideas. Why is obvious: • I created content like a madman • I didn't consume a single book or podcast for over a week. My brain is starving. Never forget to fuel your mind. No input = no output.
99% of the time, ‘problems’ don't matter as much as you think they do. You need to put things in a holistic perspective: • Will this matter in 10 minutes from now? • Will this matter in 10 weeks from now? • Will this matter in 10 years from now? Zoom out.
You don't have to stay loyal to your former identity. 3 years ago I believed I would be a designer for my entire life. Today my design ambitions are out of scope. I want to write, educate, and help people stuck as I was. If you don't evolve, you'll extinct.
I don't pay €3.5 for an espresso. I pay €3.5 for: • 2 hours of focused uninterrupted work • A cosy inspiring environment • A shot of creative juice Priceless.
How to build a personal brand while working a 9-5: • Pick 1 platform • Engage 30-60 mins every day • Swap consuming with studying • Commit 0.5 day/week to write a week's content The result: • Sustainable growth • Ingrained essential creator habits • Enough bandwidth…
If you can't find the answer behind your desk I’m sure you will find it: • At the gym • On a long walk • On an extended period of silence Sometimes the greatest output comes when you shut down the input.
Last week I fired my first and former best client. • Toxic corporate vibes • My work wasn't supervised • No meaningful tasks on my plate I could have easily kept billing without showing up. But no one deserves to be exploited. Pick integrity over cash, always.
The reader doesn't care about you. The reader cares about what you can do for them. If the perceived answer is 'nothing' They will scroll. Make your writing: • Clear • Concise • Relatable You have 2 seconds to convince your reader. Use them well.
How to get your most important work done before 10 AM: • Get up early. • Drink black coffee. • No external media inputs. (just you and your work) • The night before, determine 1 lever-moving task to work on. Try it out tomorrow morning, you won't regret it.
