Ursula published the recently vindicated Kathleen Stock, then suffered for it. My publisher was hers, and I’ve supported her case. Fellow writers, especially: please read/consider doing same. Publishing, like academia, is in a wretched state on free speech and freedom of belief.

Big thanks to @BBCMorningLive for correcting the mistake before the end of the show. It often takes ages for corrections to happen & whilst its never ideal for incorrect info to be stated - correct info being provided within the same show is amazing. Spelt is NOT gluten free 🙌

Just three months ago following the Ravneet Gill / Bake Off incident, I said that TV presenters overseeing food shows or segments need to be trained in basic allergy / coeliac / gluten training so as to be able to intervene when something like this happens. Spelt is wheat!

Disappointing that this article, by a GP no less, presents self-diagnosis of coeliac disease in a "commendable" light. Suspected CD should be rigorously assessed by medics before GF diets are introduced. #coeliac #glutenfree cc @Coeliac_UK
