A short update, the outage started as a logging error. The error was misdiagnosed at first which caused the reboot to stall and take longer. There was also an issue with a disk on PT01 which needed a replacement. The hardware replacement is done and the server is being restarted.
It looks like there was another outage but we do not have any further details at this point as to what has caused it. A status update/ETA is also up in the air right now. We will update again once we have any further details.
For those not following @FutureQuestNet, we experienced a power outage at the data center this morning. The utility co. has since restored power, and Techs are now rebooting the network's core routers. Status updates will follow as information becomes available.
UPDATE: The utility company has restored power to the data center. The Techs have now begun the delicate process of rebooting the core routers of the network. Once that work is completed, community and dedicated servers will be brought back online.
Also, our backup generator failed to kick on (which is also being investigated by one of our Techs on site), so at the moment the entire network is down. Techs are prepared to start bringing services up as soon as power is restored. Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience.
We have experienced a major power outage at the data center. The outage appears to be local in nature, and utility company personnel are on site investigating the issue.
The ongoing mail issues today appear to be due to the mail servers file system being overloaded. Unfortunately, we do not have an ETA on when the servers will stabilize.
FutureQuest.net is experiencing a Network Wide Outage and this is being investigated at this time
