GDA members have been busy this week, thanks to the #Multiply programme! Our disabled ESOL learners made clocks, developing their designs and using a range of craft materials to bring their visions to life. We discussed time-telling and shared helpful tips and tricks.
The Creative Communities programme supports communities to develop and deliver initiatives involving culture and creative arts and focuses support on people and places where social or geographical circumstances make engaging with cultural activities more challenging.
#CreativeCommunitiesGlasgow supports 10 charities delivering projects in Glasgow. Cultural activity has broad, interlinked benefits for people and communities & that a participatory approach can lead to greater impact and drive unexpected outcomes. 📍👇

As part of our Multiply programme for disabled ESOL learners, members attended a class on map reading. We learned how to read paper maps, use a compass and digital map apps. Our skills were then put into practice as we looked for landmarks around Glasgow Green, using our maps!
Our #Multiply programme continued this week with a sports day presented by @SDS_sport! We put our counting and numeracy skills to the test, keeping track of scores and points, playing boccia, soft archery, badminton and keeping fit with athletics! Join us! 0141 556 7103.
Our #YoungDisabledPeople created short stop-motion animations depicting solutions to littering, reusing & re-purposing recyclable materials, & showing their creative flair by making characters & sets out of plastic packaging. #ClimateJustice Final animations will be shared soon!

We've been busy! Big thanks to @BoomerangWood for bringing their woodworking activities to us, & the #MultiplyProgramme for funding this work! GDA members selected a wood type and created keyrings and crafts, getting to grips with the Japanese saw and pillar drill. Lots of fun!
Soup's up! We learned how to cook soup with @NorthGlasgowHLC, thanks to funding received from the #MultiplyProgramme. Measuring and preparing ingredients, seasoning, cooking, blending and eating - we covered it all! We have more cookery coming up in May. Reach out to join us.
