Might be the first time I've ever agreed with Tim Stanley but he's absolutely correct: social media companies *are* publishers and should be treated under law as such. If that means they have to shut down, so be it.

Elon Musk is a really bad advert for micro-dosing ketamine. He's so bad it's even hard to imagine the possibility that there are people continually taking small amounts of horse tranquiliser who aren't acting like a deranged 15 year old who's just read Atlas Shrugged.

My elderly drinking pal is constantly saying he wants to sell his book and DVD collection on eBay and doesn't know how to do it. My 10 year old daughter is constantly saying she wants a job to earn money. So I told them to talk to each other and now she is on 25% commission.

People are currently attempting to burn down a hotel housing migrants. This is not a “protest”. It’s racist thuggery on a par with what we saw in Nazi Germany in the 1930’s. We need unequivocal condemnation and forceful police intervention on a commensurate scale.
