The Facilities Dept. of @GLSDwildcats assessed the minor damage caused by strong winds this week. We are grateful that the building operations remained largely unaffected. These events are a reminder that we must plan for redundant building systems to ensure greater resilience.

Our @GLSDwildcats Facilities Dept., in partnership with Garland @GarlandWorks and TMR Roofing @tectaamerica, conducts bi-annual inspections of roofs across the district to ensure the dryness of our buildings. The inspections are a crucial part of maintaining our aging roofs.

Aged, corroded wiring in our SHS parking lot lights led to unsafe blackouts. Our @GLSDwildcats Maintenance team investigated, analyzed, and upgraded the electrical components, restoring lighting to the site. A success story for our aging facilities! #SuccessStory #Teamwork #GLSD
