The previous system was part of a larger upgrade which very accurately places bullet holes on meshes when shot. It's a huge upgrade from my last game! The decal and particle depends on the enum 'material' of the shot object: wood metal flesh all behave accordingly.

Have been really busy with work and grad school, but I wanted to show some of my progress I've made. I switched my bullets from projectiles to raycasts, I think it suits my game a lot better. Here's one major upgrade in VFX from pixel blood to a more stylized look.
