@BrandonEvrs I had no idea that lavender was toxic for cats, i feel awful! i havenāt used it for about 6 months and my cat seems fine but i was wondering why he would act weirdly when it was on
@BrandonEvrs @mckenziepaiige Can 100% confirm the lavender oil toxicity for cats. I started using a diffuser and our cat started getting sick. When I stopped using it, she was better within a few days.
@BrandonEvrs @alissa_ashleyy Side note- anything existing in the Allium family (garlic, onions, leeks etc) are also to toxic to both in small quantities per kilo. Causing massive cellular lysis to the haemoglobin
@BrandonEvrs @piayounges A lot of factors plays into this!!!! If the oils are diluted with other carrier oils or water, SOME essential oils are good for animals. I used diluted lavender essential oil on my cat to get rid of his ringworm. Ppl please research things on your own and ask a vet for their opš
@BrandonEvrs @Smackfacemcgee Watch out especially for lavender in ācalmingā cat treats and nip. Check the labels of everything you give your pets or kids.
@BrandonEvrs @alissa_ashleyy This is wrong. Garlic is fine for your dogs in small quantities, itās a natural flea repellent. You can find the right amount by using online guides for their weight. But theyāre just guides, donāt assume itāll be the perfect amount and always use less to begin with š
@BrandonEvrs @floraabigailll Lavender is very bad for cats
@BrandonEvrs @BoycottLex Thank you for letting me know. I almost bought my cat tea tree ear cleaning solution. Itās crazy they would even sell it if itās toxic.
@BrandonEvrs While we're here, please also note that vegan diets are not good for your generally carnivorous pets. šš
@BrandonEvrs @alissa_ashleyy Ok so I add tea tree oil to my toner and use lavendar and rosemary in my baths and hair. We're planning to get a dog soon. Does this just apply to diffusing? Would I need to keep the dog away from my bath until it dissipates?
@BrandonEvrs Good thing this post exist! I love lavender and eucalyptus. Iāve only used them in the diffuser once. I have two cats tho. Never again!
@BrandonEvrs Thanks for sharing this! It's always good to know which oils are harmful to our furry companions!
@BrandonEvrs @hannajewel_cote My cats have never reacted negatively
@BrandonEvrs @Coolkidleaah I thought they were just naming pet names until I saw garlic lmao
@BrandonEvrs @GdoubleThree @Caity_linnnn you and your organic stuff
