The most confusing thing about having multiple mental illnesses is that you never know which one is messing you up. It’s either one or the other or all at the same time which makes it very difficult to pinpoint

We are sick and tired of people “making fun of” the existence of this disorder while disregarding the reason this disorder exists, so we participated in a trend to make a damn point. We aren’t ashamed of having this disorder, those that caused this disorder should be ashamed.

Sadly this is likely to bring even more harm to people with Dissociative Identity Disorder than even Split did. The name itself characterizes people with this disorder as monsters when instead we're just people traumatized in childhood, no more likely to be violent than the next.

I feel like some people tend to treat nonhuman alters as a fun little quirky thing but it’s actually terrifying sometimes. Especially because a lot of the time the reason they perceive themselves as nonhuman is such a core part of their trauma.
