Celebrating Althea Gibson. She was the first black woman to compete in the world tennis tour and first to win a Grand Slam tournament in 1956. She won 6 Grand Slam titles in her career. #blackhistorymonth

Celebrating Michael Jordan. The world’s most recognized athlete, won 6 NBA championships and 5 league MVP awards with the Chicago Bulls. His first contract with Nike was for $2.5M, Jordan Brand now makes more than $5B annually. #blackhistorymonth

Celebrating Simone Biles, she has won 24 world championship medals, 7 Olympic medals & has four gymnastic skills named after her. She withdrew from the 2020 Olympics to focus on her mental health, setting a new standard for self-care. #blackhistorymonth

Celebrating Arthur Ashe. He is the only black man to win Wimbledon, US Open and Australian Open. He became the first black man ranked #1 in the world. He contracted AIDS from a transfusion during surgery, after he raised awareness and money for research. #blackhistorymonth

Celebrating Fritz Pollard. Fritz was one of the first black players in the NFL, winning a championship with the Akron Pros. He was the first black head coach in the NFL. #blackhistorymonth

Celebrating Jackie Robinson. Jackie broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball in 1947. No one in MLB wears #42 in tribute and April 15th is celebrated as Jackie Robinson Day across MLB. #blackhistorymonth

Recognizing Jack Johnson, the first black heavyweight boxing champion. He also handed James Jeffries his first ever loss in 1910, that victory resulted in riots across the US. He was one of the first celebrity athletes and had lucrative endorsement deals. #blackhistorymonth
