The demise & in some places the eradication of Labour Market Theory & Industrial Sociology as taught academic areas of study since Thatcher’s #HR Individualism in the 1980s has left participants in todays world of work confused & unable to cope with worker collectivism 🥃🥃🥃

It appears I have witnessed & commentated, though nowhere as good as did Weber, Durkheim & Marx on the advent of IR the birth of #HR & it’s achieved Thatcherite dream of ensuring the return of managements right to manage as they seem fit & in whatever exploitative style imagined

The culpability of #HR in many of the business strategies that now surround us aimed to reduce & at times eradicate labour costs has to be faced up to at some time especially that those who are led are not motivated by money whilst those who lead need vast amounts of the stuff

2022 & the growth industry in the U.K. is FOOD-BANKS the rise in this very British middle class coping strategy towards a very embarrassing but accepted social exclusion of millions on low pay so they can live the dream tends to ameliorate their guilt 🥃🥃🥃

It’s started already @ukemplaw expensive so called experts in the dark arts of #HR @ukemplaw that somewhere in the reams of Thatcherite Blairite Industrial Relations Laws there cannot be found much protection for worker interests Employment Laws we will find are for employers
