There is one sentence about disabled people above the age of 18. Do TD’s believe you stop being disabled at 18? I really don’t understand people saying they’re happy with the language and aims but need to see them implemented The language and aims were the main problem for me

The right have been trying to position themselves as the be all and end all of disabled advocacy, acting like they care. Aontu, Independent Ireland and the likes are not disabled advocates. Activists aligning with them are actively hurting our movements credibility.

There was a lot of ableism in the National disability strategy, but this…implying disabled people are idiots and that’s why employment rates are low completely ignores how common disability discrimination is and that the government have no intention of tackling it.
